Homeland Security - Chemical Weapon Agent

In a contract with the US Army, the nanospray nozzle has been developed to be a sprayer of a simulation chemical weapon agent, which is an extremely viscous polymer solution. Using similar conditions as in conventional nanospray applications, the plastic nanospray nozzle delivers a stream of viscous polymer solution to a surface of sand. To facilitate the flow of the viscous solution, the nozzle has been truncated (with a razor blade to an i.d. fo~ 80 to 100 Mm. Click “play movie” below to view the nozzle in action for this application.
